3i Group plc: non-executive Director change

Martine Verluyten

3i Group plc announces the appointment of Ms Martine Verluyten as a non-executive Director. She will join 3i's Board with effect from 1 January 2012.

Ms Verluyten was Chief Financial Officer of Umicore, a Brussels-based listed materials technology group from 2006 to November 2011. Before joining Umicore she was Group Controller and subsequently Chief Financial Officer of the mobile telephone operator Mobistar, after joining the company in 2000 from Raychem Corp.

Sir Adrian Montague, 3i Chairman, said: "We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Martine to 3i's Board. She brings a wide range of international and financial experience directly relevant to our strategy."

Martine Verluyten commented: "I am excited by the opportunity to join the 3i Board and the chance to help develop its business further".
