IG Design Group plc, one of the world's leading designers, innovators and manufacturers of celebration, gifting, stationery and creative play products, announces that Anthony Lawrinson is, for family reasons, retiring from his role as Chief Financial Officer after six years with the Group.

The Board has commenced the process to identify appropriate candidates for the role and will update the market in due course. Anthony will continue in his role for his full notice period of six months and has agreed to provide additional transitional support to allow adequate time for a successor to be identified and appointed, to ensure an orderly handover.

John Charlton, Chairman, commented:

"On behalf of the Board, I should like to thank Anthony for the diligence, commitment and dedication he has shown over the past six years. He has made a significant contribution to the Group, supporting its turnaround, global diversification and subsequent stellar growth, executing its M&A strategy and creating a robust finance function which will serve the Group well over the coming years. We wish him well for the future."

Anthony Lawrinson commented:

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Design Group and I am proud of everything that we have achieved together, among them the tremendous value we have created for shareholders in recent years and the fresh new image created last year in our rebranding exercise. However, for family reasons the time is right for me to take a break and retire from full time employment.

"I am especially proud that we have just recently been able to announce a year of excellent growth in sales and profitability, a closing balance sheet entirely free of debt and huge momentum going forward. It is good to know I am leaving the Group with a first class team and in such a strong position from which it can continue to build well into the future."
