UK COAL PLC
Result of General Meeting
On 18 October 2012, UK Coal plc ("UK Coal") announced (i) the Proposed Transfer of UK Coal's listing category from "premium listing (commercial company)" on the Official List to "standard listing (shares)" on the Official List as a key step to implementing the proposed Restructuring of UK Coal and (ii) the proposed change of name to Coalfield Resources plc, in each case subject to Shareholder approval and, in the case of the proposed change of name, also subject to the Directors having confirmed that the Restructuring has been implemented. Accordingly, a circular was sent to Shareholders on 18 October 2012 giving notice of a General Meeting to consider and approve the Resolutions (the "Circular").
The Company is pleased to announce that the Resolutions were duly passed at the General Meeting held earlier this morning. The Proposed Transfer is expected to be effective on 4 December 2012 and the name of the Company will be changed following the implementation of the Restructuring. A summary of the proxy voting is set out below for each resolution.
