Board Changes
Retirement of a non-executive Director
Havelock Europa (HVE.L), the educational and retail interiors and point of sale display group, announces that Robert Duncan CA, a non-executive Director since February 2004, retired from the Board yesterday. Mr Duncan was Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
Malcolm Gourlay, Chairman, stated "We are sorry that Robbie's increasing commitments outside Havelock preclude his continuing with us as a non-executive Director. We thank Robbie for his valuable contribution over the past four and a half years, in particular as Chairman of the Audit Committee."
Appointment of a non-executive Director
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment, with effect from today, of Shonaid Jemmett-Page MA (Cantab) FCA as a non-executive Director. Mrs Jemmett-Page will replace Robert Duncan as Chairman of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
After graduating from Cambridge, Shonaid Jemmett-Page joined KPMG, where she worked from 1981 to 2001, becoming a Partner in the London Office in 1991. In 2001, Shonaid joined Unilever Plc, becoming Senior Vice-President Finance and IT for Unilever Asia, based in Singapore. From 2005 to 2008, she was Global Senior Vice-President Finance for Unilever's London-based Home and Personal Care business.
Welcoming Shonaid Jemmett-Page to the Havelock Board, Malcolm Gourlay stated, "We are delighted to have secured for the Havelock Board a high-flyer who has enjoyed extremely successful careers in both the accountancy profession and business and has accumulated a wide range of relevant experience, both in the UK and in the international arena."
There are no further matters to be disclosed in relation to this appointment pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
