Suspension of Trading

GEM BioFuels has today notified the AIM Market of London Stock Exchange ("AIM") that it is not able to release its final results for the year ending 31 December 2009 by the deadline of 30 June 2010 as its audit is still to be completed. As a consequence, the Company has requested that its shares be suspended from trading with immediate effect. The Company is currently completing a small capital raising which will assist in the finalisation of the audit. The Directors of the Company are working with the Company's auditors to ensure completion and release of the final results, and a restoration to trading of the Company's shares on AIM, as soon as possible.

A further announcement confirming dates will be made as soon as possible.
