Humberts Group PLC18 March 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 18 March 2008 Humberts Group PLC ("Humberts" or the "Group") Strategic Update On 30 January 2008 Humberts announced that it had received a preliminaryapproach in relation to an offer being made for the Group. Further to thisannouncement, the Board of Humberts can confirm that it has now received anumber of indicative offers for the Group as a whole as well as offers forcertain parts of the Group, both of which are currently being considered by theBoard. In addition to the above, the Group announced on 21 January 2008 that the Boardhad commenced discussions with potential funders to raise additional capital tostrengthen the Group's financial position. The Board can confirm that it is actively pursuing a fundraising to strengthenthe Group's financial position and that it is also currently in activediscussions to raise funds from the sale of certain non-core assets. Theybelieve that the interests of all shareholders and employees would be bestserved by the successful conclusion of these initiatives.
