The interests of the directors of Wessex Exploration PLC in the ordinary shares of 0.1p each ("Ordinary Shares") are as follows:

In addition, Frederik Dekker, David Bramhill and Andy Yeo have an interest in options over 10,000,000 new Ordinary Shares each (30,000,000 in total). Further detail as follows:

- Each director holds 5,000,000 options each which may be exercised at 5 pence per Ordinary Share. These options may be exercised as to one third of the option shares on or after each of the anniversaries of the date of grant commencing 21 December 2011 (being the first anniversary of the date of the option). Entitlements to the option shares will lapse to the extent they are not exercised on or before 21 December 2020; and

- Each director holds 5,000,000 options each which may be exercised at 6 pence per Ordinary Share. These options may be exercised as to one third of the options shares on or after each of the anniversaries of the date of grant commencing 1 December 2012 (being the first anniversary of the date of the option). Entitlements to the option shares will lapse to the extent they are not exercised on or before 1 December 2021.

WH Ireland (connected adviser to offeree) has an interest in 852,324 (0.12%) Ordinary Shares and a warrant to subscribe for 2,978,648 new Ordinary Shares of 0.1 pence at 3 pence per share with an exercise period from 23 March 2011 until 5pm on the third anniversary.
