HALMA p.l.c.TREASURY SHARE TRANSACTION |

Halma p.l.c. announces that it has purchased 546,408 of its ordinary shares on 7 July 2009 through J.P. Morgan Cazenove at an average price of 196.4592p per share. The purchased shares will not be subject to cancellation and will all be held as treasury shares in order to satisfy awards under the Halma p.l.c. Performance Share Plan 2005 ('PSP'). Following the above transaction, the vesting of 1,177,401 PSP awards originally granted on 7 July 2006, and the exercise of options over 410,071 shares, all on 7 July 2009, Halma p.l.c. holds 807,844 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 375,185,420. |
