Helical Bar PLC19 January 2005 For immediate release Helical Bar plc 19 January 2005 Not for release, publication or distribution in whole or in part in or into theUnited States, Canada, Japan or the Republic of South Africa Helical Bar plc ("Helical Bar" or the "Company") - Repurchase of B Shares The Company announces that on 5 January 2005 it was offered 610,000 of theoutstanding B Shares in issue for repurchase. These B Shares have beenpurchased at £4.00 per B Share by the Company for cancellation. The remaining 612,704 B Shares, representing approximately 5.8 per cent. of theB Shares, will continue to be in issue. The amount which would be payable bythe Company if it were to repurchase the remaining B Shares at a price of £4.00per B Share would be approximately £2.45 million.
