Helical Bar PLC09 July 2007 9 July 2007 HELICAL BAR PLC PRESS RELEASE NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PARTIES HELICAL BAR PLC ("Helical Bar "or "the Company") The Company was informed today that the following transactions had taken place: 1. Performance Share Plan Awards On 6 July 2007, under the terms of the Helical Bar plc Performance Share Plan2004 approved at the Annual General Meeting of 28 July 2004, the following shareawards were made to the directors of the Company at the closing mid-market priceon 5 July 2007 of 481p per share. Michael Slade 187,110 shares Nigel McNair Scott 124,740 shares Gerald Kaye 171,518 shares Michael Brown 202,703 shares 2. Share Incentive Plan The Company was informed on 6 July 2007 that on that date, under the rules ofthe Helical Bar plc Share Incentive Plan ("the Plan"), Helical Bar TrusteesLimited had awarded shares to directors and employees of the Company and, usingcontributions to the Plan by directors and employees, had purchased additionalshares matched in a ratio of 2:1 by the Company. On 6 July 2007 4,317 shareswere awarded to directors and employees at the closing mid-market price on 5July 2007 of 481p in accordance with the Plan rules.
