Hargreaves Lansdown PLC20 March 2008 Notification of interests Hargreaves Lansdown Plc The Hargreaves Lansdown Employee Benefit Trust ('EBT') has made the followingpurchase of ordinary shares on the London market: Date Quantity Price19th March 2008 200,000 £1.77 The shares held in the EBT are intended to be used to satisfy future awards madeunder the Company's Employee Share Schemes. The EBT is a discretionary trust for the benefit of employees of HargreavesLansdown Plc and its subsidiaries. The Executive Directors of HargreavesLansdown Plc are included as potential beneficiaries under the EBT and aredeemed to be interested in those shares and the dealings thereof. In addition,the Executive Directors of Hargreaves Lansdown Plc are also directors of theEBT. Following this transaction, the EBT holds 13,818,359 shares on which dividendsare waived.
