Notification under paragraphs 3.1.2R to 3.1.4R of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules

The Company announces that it has today been notified of the exercise of employee ShareSave options by John C Humphreys, a person discharging managerial responsibilities of the Company, under its 2005 ShareSave Scheme. The options exercised by John Humphreys on 30 May 2012 were options over 3,902 shares at an option price of 246.00 pence per share following the maturity of the 2008 ShareSave grant under the 2005 ShareSave Scheme.

As a result of the above option exercise, J C Humphreys now has a beneficial interest in 18,902 ordinary shares of the Company (of which 8,000 ordinary shares are held in a pension trust for the sole benefit of J C Humphreys and 10,902 ordinary shares are held in the name of Mrs C A Humphreys) and options over 39,000 ordinary shares under the 2005 Executive Share Option Scheme.
