M/V HELLENICΒ HORIZONΒ TIME CHARTEREDΒ AT US$15,600 PER DAYΒ FOR 6-8 MONTHS
Hellenic Carriers Limited,Β ("Hellenic" or the "Company") (AIM: HCL), an international provider of marine transportation services for dry bulkΒ cargoes, announces today thatΒ its whollyΒ owned subsidiaryΒ Arkadia Maritime Corp ('Arkadia'),Β the ship owning company ofΒ theΒ M/V Hellenic Horizon, has delivered the vesselΒ to her new charterers,Β Oldendorff Carriers Gmbh & Co. KG LΓΌbeckΒ for a period of minimum six toΒ aboutΒ eight monthsΒ (about meaning plus/minus 15 days).Β
The charterΒ commencedΒ on 30 May 2009Β at aΒ dailyΒ gross rate of US$15,600.Β The earliest expiry date is set onΒ 30Β NovemberΒ 2009.Β
The M/V Hellenic Horizon is aΒ 44,800 dwt Handymax built in 1995 at Halla Engineering, & Heavy Industries, Korea.
Following theΒ time charter of the vessel M/V Hellenic Horizon, the estimated time charter coverage for theΒ remainingΒ of 2009 is approximatelyΒ 66%Β andΒ 49%Β for the whole of 2010.Β
