Griffin Mining Ld25 April 2005 GRIFFIN MINING LIMITED GRIFFIN ANNOUNCES RENEWAL OF MINING LICENCE Griffin Mining Limited ("Griffin or the "Company") is extremely pleased toannounce that its Chinese subsidiary company, the Hebei Hua-Ao MiningDevelopment Company, has had its mining licence at Caijiaying renewed for aperiod of 15 years to 14th April 2020. This licence may be renewed at the end ofthe licence period and replaces the existing mining licence granted in March2002. Mladen Ninkov, Griffin's Chairman, commented on these developments as follows: "The grant of this renewed, long life mining licence is yet another example ofthe viability of the Chinese mining industry to foreigners who operate legallyand contractually within the Chinese legal environment.
