Statement re newly enacted Media Law 

On 13 October 2009, Grupo Clarín S.A. (the "Company") informed the Argentine Securities Commission that the Company is assessing the scope of the new Audiovisual Communication Services Law No. 26,522, enacted on Saturday 10 October 2009 and its implications for the Company's operations. The Company will inform investors of any relevant facts in connection therewith.
