GRUPO CLARIN S.A.Ā (BCBA: GCLA; LSE: GCLA)Ā announces acquisition ofĀ
additional participation in Pol-Ka Producciones S.A.Ā and SB Producciones S.A.
On 2 September 2008, Grupo ClarĆn S.A. (the "Company") informed the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange that on thatĀ date it had entered into an agreement to purchase 25% of the issued and outstanding capital stock and votes ofĀ Pol-Ka Producciones S.A. ("Polka") and SB Producciones S.A. ("SB")Ā through its subsidiaryĀ Arte Radiotelevisivo Argentino S.A. ("ARTEAR")Ā fromĀ the holders of 70% of the shares of the referred companies. By virtue of this agreement, ARTEAR-which already held 30% of the issued and outstanding capital stock and votes of Polka and SB-will increase its participation in each of the referred companies to 55%.
The total price agreed for the acquired stock was US$Ā 2,500,000.
The main activity of these companies is the production of audiovisual content.
