GBGroup, the identity intelligence specialist, is pleased to announce the appointment to the Board as Non-Executive Director of Charmaine Eggberry, with immediate effect. Ms. Eggberry will be replacing Alex Green who has expressed his intention to step down from the Board following 10 years in office, due to increasing time commitments at his other roles. Mr. Green will be leaving the Board in March 2014.

Ms. Eggberry has enjoyed an outstanding career in the technology and telecommunications industries, fulfilling senior sales and marketing roles with international responsibilities during pivotal periods of strategic development and evolution at Research in Motion ("RIM") from 2002 to 2008 and Nokia from 2010 to 2012. At RIM she rose to the position of Managing Director, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for EMEA, reporting directly to the Inventor, Founder and Chairman, Mike Lazarides. At Nokia, as Global Senior Vice President, she led a large marketing team and accordingly has experience in many international territories.

In 2010, Ms. Eggberry founded and today remains a Board Member and Trustee of The Marketing Academy, a not for profit organisation that promotes talent in the field of marketing and advertising in the UK. She also formed her own consulting business and became a Director in Wayra, which is an investor and developer of digital businesses, leveraging the network of the Telefonica customer base. This necessitates her being an adviser on a number of different start-ups and she is also a member of Wayra UnLtd which is a JV between UnLtd and Wayra focussed on start-ups that make a positive social impact.
