Gable launches first product into German market

Gable Holdings (AIM: GAH.L), the European non-life insurance company, has launched its first product into the German market where it has commenced writing a programme of business for its tenant deposit guarantee product, replicating Gable's highly successful product in Norway.

The product will be available through Heiko Doll Versicherungsmakler, via its online broker platform and is designed for residential property landlords, through property management agencies, to provide to tenants as they renew their lease each year. The German market for this product is significant and the Company launched its first tenant deposit guarantee scheme in Norway in 2010.

Commenting on the agreement, William Dewsall, Chief Executive of Gable Holdings, said: "This marks our first product launch in the German market. I am delighted that we have commenced writing annual premiums for this short tail product in Germany where the residential rented market is of such a size, that we believe we can exceed the success this has achieved in the Norwegian market."
