Filtronic PLC03 June 2005 FILTRONIC PLC Trading Update Following the end of the current financial year on 31 May 2005, Professor J DRhodes, CBE, FRS, FREng, Executive Chairman of Filtronic plc ('Filtronic'), aleading provider of customised microwave electronic subsystems for the wirelesstelecommunications and defence industries issued the following statement oncurrent trading: "In my statement issued on 31 January 2005, I indicated that the company wascontinuing with the activities for the disposal of the Handset Productsdivision. Information on the history, current trading and prospects of thisbusiness has been shared with various parties. Following this process the Boardreceived a number of proposals at values in line with market expectations. TheBoard has now entered into a period of detailed negotiations for the disposal,which may or may not result in a sale. The profit and loss performances for the Wireless Infrastructure and IntegratedProducts divisions individually remain satisfactory, with the Handset Productsdivision having a cyclically slow second half year."
