(`Nanoscience' or the `Group') Directorate Changes Nanoscience, the specialist nanotechnology investment holding company, ispleased to announce the appointment of Guy Spelman to its Board as ExecutiveDirector with immediate effect. Mr Spelman brings with him a wealth ofexperience having held numerous senior positions at several global companiesincluding Managing Director of the Reuters account for BT Global Services andVice President of IBM Global Services. Mr Spelman will chair the Group'sinvestment committee and will be the principal point of liaison between theGroup and its shareholders. Mr Spelman will also use his experience toimplement an enhanced corporate governance model for the Group as it continuesto source high-growth investment opportunities in leading-edge technologies. Itis the intention of the Board to continue to procure investment opportunitiesthrough its various networks including its exclusive IP option agreement withImperial College.Alongside Mr Spelman, the Group is also pleased to announce the immediateappointment of Philippe Tischhauser as Non-Executive Director. Mr Tischhauserdeveloped his career with a number of the major global accounting firms, asboth an auditor and a corporate advisor, including Ernst & Young where he was asenior partner in the corporate finance department in Geneva before going on tobecome a Board director of Ernst & Young Holding AG. It is the Board's beliefthat as a qualified CPA with extensive corporate finance experience, MrTischhauser will bring to the Group a wider perspective when evaluating futureinvestments. In addition to advising on the structure of future investments, MrTischhauser will also be responsible for assessing the ongoing financialrobustness and performance of the Group's portfolio companies.In addition to the above appointments, Patrick Stephansen has today steppeddown from the main Nanoscience Board but remains with the Group and willoversee the growth of the Group's Taiwanese joint-venture, Future Waves Pte.Richard Rose, Chairman, commented:`It is with great pleasure that we welcome both Guy and Philippe to the mainBoard of Nanoscience.
