Directorate change

Fairpoint Group plc ("Fairpoint" or "the Group") announces that Chris Moat, the Chief Executive Officer of Fairpoint, is stepping down from the Board by mutual agreement with immediate effect. Chris will provide continuing assistance on the closure of the Group's Debt Management Plan business, which is scheduled to complete in Q1 2017.

David Harrel, currently Non-Executive Chairman, will for the interim period assume the role of Executive Chairman alongside David Broadbent, Chief Financial Officer, who will assume a broader range of responsibilities. The search for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the business has commenced and a further update will be provided in due course.
