Board Appointment

Falkland Islands Holdings plc ("FIH" or the "Company"), an AIM quoted international services group which owns essential services businesses focused on transport and logistics and which has a major shareholding in Falkland Oil and Gas Limited,  is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Brade as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with immediate effect.

Jeremy is a director and private equity partner at J O Hambro Capital Management Limited, where he has worked since 2001 having previously been with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) where he served at the British High Commission in New Delhi and as the representative of Cyrus Vance and Lord Owen at the International Conference on the Former Yugoslavia. Prior to joining the diplomatic service, Jeremy was an army officer.

As well as his time in private equity and the diplomatic service, Jeremy has extensive experience in advising private and public companies from a non-executive perspective.

Additional information

Jeremy James Brade (aged 48) holds, or has held in the last five years, the following directorships:

United Industries Public Limited Company went into Administration on 5 April 2006, some 5 months after his resignation as a director on 28 October 2005. 

In addition to those companies listed, in the period prior to the past 5 years Mr Brade was a director of PNC Telecom PLC from 3 February 2003 to 23 June 2003. The company went into Administration  on 23 June 2003 and the administration order was discharged (and PNC Telecom PLC resumed business) on 15 June 2004.

There is no further information in respect of the above appointment required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules for Companies.
