Notifiable Interests

The board of Forum Energy received notification on 24 February 2010 that, on 18 February 2010, Philex Petroleum Corporation ("PPC"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Philex Mining Corporation ("Philex"), acquired 786,259 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, representing an interest of 2.38% in the issued share capital the Company, taking its total interest to 39.14% in the issued share capital the Company.

In addition, Philex already holds a further interest of 25.84% in the issued share capital the Company, through Philex's 51% subsidiary FEC Resources Inc.

Therefore the Philex group's total interest now stands at 64.98% in the issued share capital of the Company.
