First Derivatives plc (AIM: FDP.L, ESM: GYQ.I), a leading provider of software and consulting services to the capital markets industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Seamus Keating as a Non Executive Director of the Company.

Seamus has over twenty years experience in the global technology sector in both finance and operational roles and was a main board director of Logica plc from 2002 until April 2012. He was Logica Group CFO until 2010 when he became COO and head of its Benelux operations. He also chaired the group's worldwide Financial Services practice. Having implemented a major restructuring plan in the Benelux region, he resigned from Logica plc, ahead of its acquisition by CGI of Canada. Prior to his role at Logica, he worked for the Olivetti Group in finance roles in the UK and Italy. He is currently working in the mid market private equity technology sector.

Seamus joined the board of Mouchel Group plc and became chair of the audit committee in November 2010, following a number of profit warnings, and remained on the board until September 2012, when the company was restructured and placed into Administration and its business purchased by a buyout company owned by its lenders.
