Planet Coaster Release

Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV, "Frontier", the Group"), a leading developer of video games, released Planet Coaster, its second major self-published franchise, as planned on November 17.

Planet Coaster builds on Frontier's extensive expertise with coaster park simulation games - one of its previous games in the genre, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, is still selling today over a decade after its release.

Commenting on this David Braben, CEO said

"I'm delighted with the reception Planet Coaster has had from our Alpha and Beta players; the enthusiasm they have shown has been fantastic. Planet Coaster released on schedule, and now Frontier is earning revenue from both its self-published franchises marking the end of our transition. We're looking forward to continuing to develop Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster whilst growing our portfolio with new franchises."

Notes to Editors

Alpha and Beta are common terms used to describe pre-release versions of software. Alpha releases are typically focused on a limited feature set compared to the final version, whilst Beta releases approach full functionality with some aspects remaining work-in-progress.
