Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV, "Frontier" or the "Company"), a leading developer and publisher of videogames based in Cambridge, UK, participated this week in Gamescom, the world's largest event for computer and video games and Europe's leading business platform for the games industry held annually in Cologne, Germany, making four game announcements.
Stranded: Alien Dawn
On 23 August 2022, Frontier Foundry, Frontier's games label for third party publishing, revealed Stranded: Alien Dawn, a gripping new planet survival sim arriving in early access on PC via Steam this October. Marooned on a deadly alien world, the fate of a small group of survivors hinges on the player's every decision.
From developer Haemimont Games, creators of Surviving Mars, the successful strategic sci-fi city builder, Stranded: Alien Dawn challenges players to overcome adversity and ensure their diverse group of survivors can flourish in their strange new surroundings.
The Great War: Western Front
On 24 August 2022, Frontier Foundry unveiled The Great War: Western Front, a thrilling take on the real-time strategy ('RTS') genre that allows players to experience World War 1 through the eyes of both Theatre Commander and Field Commander, launching on PC in 2023.
Developed by Petroglyph who boast a heritage of genre-defining strategy games, in collaboration with games label Frontier Foundry, The Great War: Western Front invites players to experience an authentic WW1 RTS. In this immersive new title, players must step back in time to take charge of difficult choices, as they opt to either relive or redefine one of the most fundamental conflicts in modern history.
Deliver Us Mars
On 24 August 2022, Frontier Foundry released a cinematic story trailer for KeokeN Interactive's sci-fi adventure game Deliver Us Mars. With a release date set for 2 February 2023, this dramatic trailer showcases the epic world-saving mission and personal stakes that power the game's narrative.
Story is truly at the heart of Deliver Us Mars. This trailer shows the ways in which KeokeN Interactive is building on the acclaimed first game in the series, Deliver Us The Moon, using a full cast of motion-captured actors to bring the characters to life. This results in an expansive and powerful narrative for players to experience.
F1® Manager 2022
On 25 August 2022, Frontier welcomed players into the illustrious F1® paddock in the officially licensed Formula 1® management simulation, as F1® Manager 2022 released in early access for those who pre-order digitally ahead of the full release date of 30 August 2022. F1® Manager 2022 is available on PC, PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One.
As the summer break comes to an end and F1® returns to circuits and screens around the world, it's time for fans to become part of the paddock. In F1® Manager 2022, players will take control of their chosen F1® team, leading them to glory throughout the official 2022 season and beyond. Stepping into the role of Team Principal, they will need to balance short-term success with long-term objectives as they aim to establish themselves as a dominant force in the world's most prestigious motorsport.
