Empyrean Energy PLC06 June 2007 Empyrean Energy PLC ("Empyrean" or the "Company"; Ticker: (EME)) Project Margarita, Gulf Coast Texas USA Amendment to RNS 9253W, dated 21 May 2007 ----------------------------------------- This announcement amends the Project Margarita Update announcement submitted toRNS on 21 May 2007 at 08:02am with RNS number 9253W. The need for amendmentarose as the original announcement contained an inaccuracy. The inaccuracy relates to the statement made in the relevant announcement thatthe Agavero #1 well was spudded during the weekend pre-ceding 21 May 2007, whenin fact it had not been spudded at that time. The announcement in question was made on the back of inaccurate advice receivedfrom the Company's ASX listed partner in Project Margarita, which had made asimilar inaccurate announcement to the ASX market, earlier on that day. As reported on 5 June 2007 in RNS number 7724X, the Company has been advisedthat the drill rig scheduled to spud the Agavero #1 well, could not be relocatedto the site due to record unseasonal rains and associated flooding. The rig hassubsequently been moved to the Donna Carlota Prospect location, which is one ofthe three shallow prospects that are analogues of the historic prolific Frio andVicksburg sands. Note that the Agavero Prospect will be drilled when surface conditions allow for it and that the delays experienced did not result in any additional cost for the Company.
