Electra Private Equity PLC01 October 2007 Electra Private Equity PLC - Portfolio Update 1 October 2007 Electra Private Equity Plc ("Electra") announces that as 30 September 2007, itsten largest investments were: Kingfield Heath BNP Paribas Floating Rate Notes Barclays Bank Floating Rate Notes Abbey National Floating Rate Notes HBOS Floating Rate Notes Allflex Holdings III Bank of Ireland Floating Rate Notes Nuaire Harvard Bidco Limited Lil-lets Group Electra's financial year ended on 30 September 2007. The net asset value pershare at that date will be announced when the Preliminary Results are issued andwill reflect the revaluation of the unlisted portfolio at 30 September 2007 andon-market purchases for cancellation of Electra's shares during the year. The list of investments shown above was calculated on the basis of the assetvaluation at 31 March 2007 adjusted to reflect completed purchases and sales ofinvestments, currency movements and bid values in respect of listed investmentsand unlisted investments where these are valued by reference to quoted prices. This list includes all investments with a value greater than 5% of Electra'sgross assets at 30 September 2007. This announcement was made in accordance with the Listing Rule 15.4.11(2) whichrequires, inter alia, UK listed investment companies to notify to a RegulatoryInformation Service, within two business days of the end of each quarter, a listof all investments with a value greater than 5% of the company's gross assetsand at least the company's ten largest investments as at the last business dayof that quarter.
