Electronic Data Processing PLC16 October 2006 ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING PLC ACQUISITION OF VECTA SOFTWARE CORPORATION Electronic Data Processing PLC (EDP) announces that on 16 October 2006 itacquired the business and certain assets of Vecta Software Corporation Limited(Vecta), a leading provider of sales intelligence software solutions, based inOxford. Consideration is £900,000 payable in cash on completion. The assets acquiredinclude goodwill, all Intellectual Property and trade debtors. Debtors amountto some £110,000. The Directors expect the acquisition to be earnings neutral in the currentfinancial year and earnings enhancing in the 2007/8 financial year. Richard J Jowitt, Chief Executive of EDP, said: "Vecta brings to EDP a leading edge sales intelligence product set and over twohundred customers, a significant proportion of which are household names.
