Electrocomponents Plc - Directors' Declaration

Electrocomponents plc is pleased to announce that Simon Boddie, Group Finance Director, has been appointed an independent Non-Executive Director of Michael Page International plc, the specialist professional recruitment consultancy which operates in 34 countries around the world.

Simon will be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. The appointment takes effect from today.

This announcement is being made pursuant to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules
