Electrocomponents plc announces pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14 that Mr Adrian Auer, one of its Non-Executive Directors, has now advised us of his appointment as an independent Non-Executive Director of AZ Electronic Materials S.A. ("AZ"), a publicly quoted company, with effect from 4 May 2011, subject to prior shareholder approval being obtained at AZ's Annual General Meeting to be held on that date.
