Period end update
e2v technologies plc, the specialist provider of technology solutions for high performance systems, today provides a period end update covering the six months ended 30 September 2013.
The board expects to report results for the half year slightly ahead of our previous expectations due to some earlier than planned delivery on programmes. However, the reported performance is expected, as previously indicated, to be below the level achieved in the same period last year.
We continue to be cautious over the broader economic environment, in particular the ongoing uncertainty in the US defence sector. Assuming no further deterioration in market conditions, our expectations for the Group's full year trading performance remain unchanged.
Order book as at 30 September 2013 was £189m (30 September 2012: £138m), with the 12 month order book at £130m (30 September 2012: £114m).
The Group's financial position remains robust, with 30 September net borrowings of approximately £11m (31 March 2013: £10m).
Results for the six month period ended 30 September 2013 will be announced on 4 November 2013.
