e2v technologies, a developer and manufacturer of specialised components and sub-systems, announcesΒ aΒ multi-yearΒ supply andΒ supportΒ contractΒ withΒ TomoTherapy Inc,Β an existing customerΒ based in Wisconsin, USA, valued atΒ Β£7.4m.Β
Under thisΒ sole supplierΒ arrangement,Β e2v willΒ supply magnetronsΒ from its electron device and sub-systems divisionΒ for useΒ inΒ radiotherapy cancer treatment systems. The contract includes the initial supplyΒ andΒ on-going spares requirementsΒ for these systems.
TheΒ new contract structureΒ builds on e2v'sΒ long standing relationship with itsΒ customer,Β is effectiveΒ 1st MayΒ and covers aΒ 3 year period.
e2v's productsΒ generateΒ and deliver the microwave power required from the linear accelerator within the radiotherapy cancer treatment system to produce the X-rays used in both the imaging and radiation treatmentΒ of tumours.Β
