e2v secures radiotherapy supply and support contract
e2v technologies, a developer and manufacturer of specialised components and sub-systems, announces a multi-year supply and support contract with TomoTherapy Inc, an existing customer based in Wisconsin, USA, valued at £7.4m.
Under this sole supplier arrangement, e2v will supply magnetrons from its electron device and sub-systems division for use in radiotherapy cancer treatment systems. The contract includes the initial supply and on-going spares requirements for these systems.
The new contract structure builds on e2v's long standing relationship with its customer, is effective 1st May and covers a 3 year period.
e2v's products generate and deliver the microwave power required from the linear accelerator within the radiotherapy cancer treatment system to produce the X-rays used in both the imaging and radiation treatment of tumours.
