Interim Management Statement

11th May 2011 - Dairy Farm International Holdings Limited has today issued an Interim Management Statement covering the period from 1st January to 10th May 2011, in accordance with the requirements of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules issued by the Financial Services Authority in the United Kingdom.

During the period under review, which included the key Chinese New Year sales period, Dairy Farm's major businesses performed well. The stronger Asian currencies also enhanced sales and earnings in US dollar terms.

There was a good overall performance from the Group's Hong Kong operations, while steady progress was made in its businesses in mainland China. In Taiwan, the supermarket activities faced challenging market conditions, although IKEA recorded higher profits. Restaurant associate, Maxim's, also achieved improved results. Dairy Farm's businesses in Malaysia and Indonesia produced higher sales and profit, while the operations in Singapore saw steady growth.

The Group is trading ahead of the same period last year, and remains in a strong financial position.
