Dairy Crest Group PLC05 April 2006 Dairy Crest Group plc ("Dairy Crest")Private Placement Dairy Crest announces that on 4 April 2006, it issued approximately £143 million(US $250 million) of senior guaranteed loan notes into the private placementdebt market. Notes were issued in both US dollars ($233 million) and poundssterling (£10 million). The notes are fixed rate and unsecured, with a maturityof 7 and 10 years. The proceeds of the issue, which have been swapped intosterling, will be used to repay existing bank debt and for general corporatepurposes. The placement diversifies Dairy Crest's funding sources and extends the maturityof our debt profile at competitive rates. The company's overall borrowingfacilities will be broadly unchanged as a result of these actions.
