Transaction in own shares

GlobalData plc announces that on 1 June 2017 it purchased 10,000 ordinary shares at a price of 495 pence per share. These purchases were made in accordance with the authority granted to it by shareholders at its 2017 Annual General Meeting. The purchased shares will be held in treasury for the purpose of satisfying the exercise of share options under the Company's Employee Share Option Plan.

Following the purchases, the Company has 102,346,422 ordinary shares in issue with 155,000 held in treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company will be 102,191,422; this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change of interest in, the share capital of the Company.
