on the Shanghai Stock Exchange
Hong Kong, 9 March 2016 - Cathay International Holdings Limited (LSE: CTI.L), a leading operator and investor in the growing healthcare sector in the People's Republic of China (the "PRC), today announces that its subsidiary Lansen Pharmaceutical Holdings Ltd ("Lansen") (HKEX: 503), in which the Company has a 50.56% holding, has made a voluntary announcement in Hong Kong today.
The board of directors of Lansen has informed shareholders of Lansen and potential investors that, Zhejiang Starry Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("Starry"), an associated company of Lansen, has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 9 March 2016. The Stock Code is 603520. Starry offered 30 million shares in its initial public offering, representing 25% of its total issued shares after the initial public offering. Starry's shares are offered at the subscription price of RMB12.15 per share and the total subscription money was approximately RMB364.5 million. Based on the subscription price of RMB12.15 per share, Starry was valued at approximately RMB1.46 billion (USD218.7 million) at its initial public offering. The closing price of Starry's shares on its first day of trading today was RMB17.50. Upon the listing of Starry's shares, as of the date of Lansen's announcement, Lansen indirectly holds approximately 16.1% of the total issued shares capital of Starry. In accordance with the relevant listing rules in China, the shares in Starry indirectly held by Lansen are subject to a lockup period of 12 months from the date of Starry's listing during which Lansen shall not sell or dispose of the shares in Starry.
