Christie & Co valuations team advises on Liberation Group acquisition
Christie Group plc ('Christie' or the 'Group'), the leading provider of Professional Business Services and Stock & Inventory Systems & Services to the leisure, retail and care markets, is pleased to announced that Christie & Co, its specialist provider of agency and advisory services, has welcomed the news of the acquisition of Liberation Group by Caledonia Investments. The deal, which was agreed between Caledonia and Liberation's owners LGV for £118m, was supported by valuations services provided by Christie & Co.
Liberation, founded in 2008 through a management buy-in led by Mark Crowther and equity backed by LGV, owns and operates a fully integrated pub and drinks business located in the Channel Islands and the West Country in the UK. Its business comprises 94 managed and tenanted pubs, two award-winning breweries and three wholesale businesses.
Christie & Co has a long history of working with Liberation, being retained to provide professional services to the group since it was purchased by LGV in 2008.
