Milestone Group PLC05 May 2005 For Immediate Release5 May 2005 MILESTONE GROUP PLC RAJAR Wave 1 2005 Audience Figures Milestone Group PLC ("Milestone"), the AIM listed media group, has today seenthe publication of its best ever market share in RAJAR, the official radioaudience measurement survey. Overall, the RAJAR results show the weekly adult Total Hours listened for allfour Milestone-controlled stations at 894,000, up from 737,000 twelve monthsago, with the group's market share standing at 8.4%. Oxford's Passion 107.9 has received its sixth successive RAJAR audience increasewith adult weekly reach now standing at 13% and market share at 3.5%.Mid-Warwickshire's Rugby FM, the Milestone-controlled station operating in thecompetitive West Midlands marketplace, has again confirmed its position asRugby's number 1 station and amongst the most successful radio stations anywherein the UK. Rugby FM has received its highest ever weekly adult reach of 44%,well ahead of its closest rival BBC Radio 2 on 28%. It is also the highest evermarket share for Rugby FM at 22.1%. Kick FM and Kestrel FM, the contiguous Milestone-controlled stations for NorthHampshire and West Berkshire, received their best ever combined audience sharewith adult weekly reach now standing at 26% and market share at 8.8%.Milestone Chief Executive, Andy Craig, said: "These results once again demonstrate how it is possible to capture audiencefrom long-established radio brands by providing locally focused services, asadvocated by Milestone, which form an integral part of the communities in whichthey serve." Milestone also today announces that it has extended the distribution of itsweekly Oxfordshire free newspaper, the Courier Journal series, into Banbury forthe first time. The Courier Journal is now available in all major conurbationsin Oxfordshire.
