CATERPILLAR INC. FILES TWO REGISTRATION STATEMENTS ON FORM S-8

PEORIA, Ill.- 19 February 2013 - Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT / NYSE Euronext: CATR / LSE: CTA) informs its stockholders that today, in accordance with the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, 2 Form S-8s (each registration statement on Form S-8 being a registration of company securities that will be offered to employees pursuant to certain benefit plans) have been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). The Form S-8s filed in respect of Caterpillar can be found on the SEC Internet site (www.sec.gov).
