Maintains Dividend Rate PEORIA, IL - Highlighting the company's global reach and industry diversity, theBoard of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) today declared a quarterlycash dividend of thirty-six cents ($0.36) per share on its common stock, payableNovember 20, 2007, to stockholders of record at the close of business October22, 2007. The $0.36 dividend maintains the dividend rate for the previous quarter and is20 percent higher than the dividend paid one year ago.
