The SIP trustee (Capita IRG Trustees Limited) acquired 3,381 ordinary shares by purchase in the market on 11 October 2010 at a total cost of £51,351.66 and allocated them to employees participating in the SIP as partnership shares.

The following directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities purchased the number of ordinary shares of 10p set out against their names below, at a price of 1506p per ordinary share, and were allocated for no consideration the number of matching shares set out against their names below.

In addition, some of the persons named in the table below opted to reinvest their dividend payment in the SIP. The SIP trustee (Capita IRG Trustees Limited) therefore also acquired 44 ordinary shares by purchase in the market at a price of 1506p on 11 October 2010 at a total cost of £668.27 on their behalf:
