Directors/PDMR interest in shares
EMPLOYEE BENEFIT TRUST
The Company has today received notification from Equity Trust (Jersey) Limited in its capacity as trustee of the Carpetright plc Employee Benefit Trust (the "Trustee" and the "Trust" respectively) that a total of 21,384 ordinary shares in the Company were purchased by the Trustee on 22 December 2016 at a price of £1.62 per share. The Trustee's current holding of 305,726 shares which represents 0.45% of the issued share capital of the Company.
The PDMRs of the Company have an interest in the shares acquired by the Trustee as they are potential beneficiaries of the Trust. The Trust was established to facilitate the operation of the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan (the "LTIP") and it is intended that the shares will be used to satisfy awards made under the LTIP.
