Circle Oil regrets to announce the sudden death of its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. David Hough.

The Board has extended sympathy to the family of Mr. Hough on behalf of all the management, staff and shareholders of Circle Oil.

Circle Oil announces the appointment of Professor Chris Green as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Professor Green will have the active and full support of the Chairman in carrying out his duties.

The Chairman, Thomas Anderson, said:

 "Since founding the company in 2003, David led the company's management in successfully developing a portfolio of assets and bringing them to production, in the process building a successful business for shareholders. His drive, energy and commitment to the business and its staff will be greatly missed."
