Customer wins
Corero Network Security plc, the AIM listed network security and business software provider, is pleased to provide an update on securing further customer wins.
Sales order intake during the quarter ended 30 September 2011 has been encouraging with Corero Business Systems ("CBS") seeing very strong growth on the comparative period in 2010 and Corero Network Security ("CNS") continuing to make good progress with the order intake in the period showing an increase on the comparative period in 2010.
Corero Business Systems
CBS secured 46 new Academy customers in the quarter ended 30 September 2011, bringing the total number of Academy customers to almost 300. As notified during October, CBS has signed a reseller agreement with Serco Learning who will deliver integrated finance and management solutions to schools combining CBS's Resource Financials & HR software solutions with Serco Learning's 4th generation Information Management System, Progresso.
Corero Network Security
CNS secured 20 new customers in the quarter ended 30 September 2011 as the business continued to add new customers to its core vertical markets: finance and banking, education, defence, on-line gaming and e-Retail. New customer wins include significant orders from a leading spread betting and CFD provider, and from a leading developer and publisher of online games. In addition, CNS received material orders from existing customers including one of the world's largest energy companies and an agency of the United States Department of Defense.
CNS has also confirmed that its distributed denial of service (DDoS) defence product will be available for purchase in November. In addition, CNS has also launched its range of DDoS defence support services, SecureWatch Plus, a comprehensive suite of DDoS defence, configuration optimisation, monitoring and response services.
