Low-power processing board to appeal to defence sector
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent" or the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, announces the launch of its latest low-power product - the XP A40/x03.
This small form factor Processor XMC/PMC board uses the latest low-power Atom™ processor from Intel® and is suitable for a wide variety of applications and environments. It will be of particular interest to both existing and potential clients in the military and telecommunications sectors, these being the Company's target markets.
The board is available in both commercial and rugged variants, and combines high performance capabilities with low-power consumption, making this ideal for a number of different applications. Specifically, the ruggedized variants will appeal to applications where space is restricted and low-power utilisation is essential, such as for on board vehicles, both manned and unmanned. The commercial variants will appeal to the telecommunications markets where additional processing performance is required to off-load compute intensive functions from the main processing board.
