High performance processor board strengthens position in the defence market

Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent" or the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, announces the launch of its latest high performance VME processor board - the VX 541/06x. 

This board augments the Company's existing family of VME/VXS products which tend to be preferred for military and defence embedded systems. Concurrent's products have been designed specifically to meet the high performance requirements in the defence sector and strong customer interest is expected as a result.

The VX 541/06x uses one of the latest families of dual-core processors from Intel®'s embedded long life product range - either the 2.26 GHz or the 1.86 GHz Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor. Accordingly, the complete package, including fulfilment and technical support ensures that this product is considered ideal for challenging military usage.
