Processor XMC Module

Concurrent Technologies Plc, a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products for critical applications in the defence, aerospace, telecommunications, transportation, scientific and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the launch of a new processor XMC module based on a low power variant of the 6th generation Intel® Core™ processor family.

The XB B5x/msd is a processor module that can fit onto carrier boards which feature an XMC site. XMC sites are widely used on a variety of open standard based boards, including the popular VPX form factor, as well as custom designed boards. The module is expected to be well suited to a wide range of applications within the scientific, defence and aerospace markets, including environments needing rugged solutions.

"Most of our products are based around the premise that the Intel® processor board is the centre of a solution that scales by adding more boards in a rack or slot type of environment. This XP B5x/msd module turns that concept around, allowing customers with a signal processing board to add an Intel® processor module for control, storage and display purposes.
