Elektron PLC24 January 2006 For immediate release 24 January 2006 ELEKTRON PLC ("Elektron" or the "Company") Share buy back from EBT Elektron, the AIM quoted components group, announces that yesterday the Companypurchased 300,000 ordinary shares (the "Shares") at a price of 13.25p throughthe market from the Company's Employee Benefit Trust ("EBT") for a total cost of£39,750. These Shares will be cancelled. Following this above transaction, theEBT will hold no Shares and therefore have no interest in the Company. Following this transaction, re-purchased Shares will be cancelled from tradingon AIM and accordingly, the reduced issued share capital trading on AIM willamount to 79,073,102 Shares.
